CARV Welcomes Strategic Investment from Animoca Brands

CARV, the most extensive modular data layer for gaming and AI, has announced a significant strategic investment from Animoca Brands. Animoca Brands is renowned for advancing digital property rights for gaming and the open metaverse.

Animoca Brands will also operate CARV's Tier 6 verifier nodes alongside the investment. This partnership marks a pivotal step in CARV's journey to decentralize its data layer.

Expanding Gaming and Metaverse Ecosystems

Founded as a gaming credential platform, CARV has grown into a comprehensive modular data layer protocol.

The platform boasts over 2.7 million users and integrates with 790 games. It has established partnerships across major chains like Linea, BNB Chain, zkSync, and Ronin.

CARV has also initiated ERC-7231, a standard approved by the Ethereum Community that binds multiple Web2 and Web3 identities to a single NFT. Collaborations with Google Cloud and Netmarble's web3 arm, MARBLEX, further underscore its credibility.

Community-Operated Verifier Nodes

To support its rapid scaling, CARV is introducing community-operated verifier nodes. These nodes scrutinize outcomes at each protocol layer.

Node holders can delegate one click to Animoca Brands, ensuring network uptime and robustness.

Rewards and Governance

The rewards from node operations will initially be in the form of $veCARV, the staked version of CARV tokens. This allows Animoca Brands and its portfolio of over 400 gaming and metaverse companies to participate in CARV's Infinite Play.

Infinite Play is a token-lock voting bribery system for governance voting, modeled after CURVE and CONVEX for gaming.
