Binance Charity, the philanthropic arm of the leading blockchain platform Binance, has announced a significant partnership with the Children of Heroes foundation. This collaboration seeks to address the urgent needs of children impacted by the violence in Ukraine by hosting a 12-day therapeutic retreat named 'I am Da Vinci'.
The retreat is designed to support 50 children who have suffered the loss of one or both parents due to the conflict, providing them with a safe space to heal and grow.
Funding and Focus In a heartfelt move to support the affected children, Binance Charity has committed a generous donation of 50,000 Tether (USDT), equivalent to approximately 2,000,000 UAH.
This funding will cover the entirety of the camp's expenses, ensuring that the participants have access to a range of therapeutic activities aimed at emotional healing and psychological support. The initiative underscores Binance's commitment to leveraging its resources for social good, particularly in areas ravaged by conflict.
"Every child deserves the love and security of a family. At Binance, we are more than willing to support initiatives aimed at alleviating their suffering and restoring hope," said Kyrylo Khomiakov, Binance's Regional Head for CEE & Central Asia.
The program's primary objective is to create a nurturing environment where children can address their trauma with professional support. Activities will include art therapy, group discussions, and one-on-one counseling, all designed to help the participants process their experiences and foster a sense of community among them.
Tetiana Novytska, CEO of Children of Heroes, emphasized the critical nature of the initiative, highlighting the profound impact of the war on the psychological well-being of children. She pointed out the necessity of timely and specialized support to prevent long-term consequences of trauma.
Novytska's vision for the retreat is to offer a beacon of hope and a path towards a brighter future for these children, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to overcome their experiences and integrate successfully into society.
By bringing together children who share similar losses, the 'I am Da Vinci' retreat aims to break the cycle of isolation and loneliness. It's an opportunity for these young individuals to build new, meaningful connections and to learn that they are not alone in their journey towards healing and recovery.
This initiative not only offers immediate psychological support but also lays the groundwork for a more hopeful and resilient future for Ukraine's affected children.
