TL;DR Layer 1 blockchain Sui collaborates with Google Cloud to enhance Web3 applications, leveraging Google's AI and analytics tools for improved security and scalability. The partnership introduces zkLogin technology, simplifying the transition from Web2 to decentralized applications for users.

In a significant move for the blockchain and Web3 sectors, Layer 1 blockchain Sui has announced a new partnership with Google Cloud aimed at enhancing the development and deployment of decentralized applications (dApps). This collaboration is set to bring together the strengths of both entities to address some of the critical challenges facing the Web3 space today, including security, scalability, and usability.
As part of this collaboration, Google Cloud has integrated Sui blockchain data into its BigQuery public datasets. This integration provides developers with access to advanced analytics tools, enabling them to derive actionable insights and innovate at the cutting edge of dApp development. The partnership also allows Sui to tap into the power of Google Cloud's generative AI platform, Vertex AI, which has been specifically trained on the Move programming language, offering Web3 developers new tools for debugging and enhancing code generation.
Furthermore, Mysten Labs, the organization behind Sui, has unveiled an AI-based code auditing tool. This tool, powered by Google Cloud's AI and cloud capabilities, aims to significantly improve security by detecting vulnerabilities across several programming languages, including Rust, Move, TypeScript, and Solidity.
A key feature of this partnership is the introduction of zkLogin technology, which aims to provide a seamless transition for users from traditional Web2 platforms to Web3 applications. By leveraging existing OAuth credentials, zkLogin enables a smoother and more frictionless login experience, potentially lowering the barrier for entry into the world of decentralized technologies.
"Collaborating with Google Cloud helps us propel the development of secure, scalable, and user-centric Web3 experiences," stated Evan Cheng, CEO of Mysten Labs. Amit Zavery of Google Cloud also highlighted the transformative potential of this collaboration for both Web3 and Web2 developers.
In support of the growing Sui developer community, Google Cloud is extending its Web3 Startup Program, offering resources such as cloud credits, access to specialized channels, and opportunities for global engagement. This initiative underscores the commitment of both Sui and Google Cloud to fostering innovation and growth within the Web3 ecosystem.
