The Russian government is set to create a platform allowing law enforcement agencies to seize and hold cryptocurrencies they claim to be criminals. Spearheaded by the Minister of Internal Affairs, this initiative aims to combat the illicit use of digital assets. The Ministry of Finance is instructed to explore the platform's development, with a progress report due by October 1, 2024.
